How Our Elves Verify Coupons

The short version: a code appears on CouponElves only after a human tests it in a real checkout. If it stops working, it's gone. No exceptions, no "might work" codes.

Why most coupon sites feel like a slot machine

Most coupon sites scrape codes from forums, affiliate feeds, and each other. Nothing is tested. You copy a code, watch it fail at checkout, and try the next one. We built CouponElves because that experience is broken.

The 4-step process

1. Scout. Our team monitors 10,000+ stores daily for new promo codes, seasonal drops, and affiliate-only offers.
2. Test live. Before a code is published, a verifier completes a real checkout flow with the code applied in the store's actual checkout. We record the date, time, and result. A code that "should work" doesn't get listed.
3. Publish with a timestamp. Every deal shows when it was last verified.
4. Rotate. We re-test the full catalog on a rolling schedule. Broken or expired codes are removed. When a code dies, it's gone. We would rather show you 20 working codes than 50 maybe-codes.

What we will never list

• Codes we haven't tested ourselves
• Codes that only work for a specific affiliate's audience (and we didn't disclose that)
• Expired offers kept alive because they used to rank

Found a broken code?

Tell us at info@couponelves.com. We re-test within the day and remove it if it fails. If you caught a code that should have been rotated out, that's on us. It's exactly how this system stays honest.
